Motra, Dr. Arun K Timalsina   To develop a comprehensive scheme for enhancing the seismic safety and resilience of school buildings in Nepal • New mobile Apps developed for – i) quick inspection of structural safety of schools in Nepal; and ii) assess the resilience of school communities.
• A new webApp developed for the Headquarters of the Department of Education that permits management of structural vulnerability of the school’s portfolio and mitigating the associated seismic risk
• A new database of soils within the Kathmandu valley
• A new map for probabilistic assessment of seismic hazard for Nepal
• A new low-cost seismic isolation solution for designing and constructing schools in Nepal and other LMICs.

A pocast was prepared for telling  a story that takes us through the struggles that the communities in Manohara, one of the informal settlements in Kathmandu have faced to overcome socio political marginalization and gain Political capabilities for Improved Resilience in Manohara

20 Training on “Current Trends in Enterprise Computing on AWS”   2023.05 – 2023.07 University Grants Commission (UGC), Nepal Dr. Basanta Joshi IoE to impart knowledge about the recent trends of computing and the computing paradigm adopted by the enterprises to the faculties of IoE by providing intensive hands-on training using the AWS computing environment Trained 20 faculty members from different consitutent campus of IoE
